CBP

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) controls all imports and exports, collects tariffs, and enforces the regulations from other government agencies.

In 1993 The Customs Modernization Act was passed. This introduced two new concepts of “informed compliance and “shared responsibility” with the importers.

Under the Federal Guidelines of CFR 19, importers are now fully responsible for all their trade activities.  Including record keeping, all governmental regulations, classification of goods, valuation determination and many more.

As licensed customs brokers we can advise on your responsibilities under the regulations for your business to avoid any costly fines or penalties assessed for non-compliance.

TOY SAFETY

All children’s toys marketed to children under the age of 12 years old are required to undergo safety testing.  With testing completed, all importers must provide a Certificate  and submit to US Customs upon entry into the U.S. and its territories.

Let us know if we can help you define your requirements and draft the certificate for a successful import.

LABELING

Labeling regulations have many aspects that affect a products admissibility or legality in the U.S. market.

These range from Country of Origin mandate to EPA or CPSC (children’s product markings).

We can help you determine what labels are required as well as best practices!
